Meow! Don't sugar coat it. Tell us how you really feel. That's why I love you, Mr. Clarey, because you have no filter!

End birth right citizenship. Walls can't stop planes or boats.

Why not both?

The wall is too expensive, that money could be better spent on useful infrastructure.
Immigration reform is a much better alternative.

The world's longest mine field would also be environmentally friendly. The wild animals that live there are shorter than Man, mostly lighter than Man, and create pressure on the ground different from Man. The mine system would just have to be slightly modified to be dangerous to humans and not the other animals. It would be like the exclusion zone around Chernobyl, but without the radiation.

The problem with Trump is that he was your average crony capitalist, not the successful businessman he makes himself to be. He made a fortune out of eminent domain abuse: his friends in government (often the Clintons, which he was friends with) kicked out people of their homes, then sold him the properties dirt cheap to him so he could either re-sell them or build on them and sell that.

It doesn't take half a monkey's brain to see that Trump's great wall will be build upon the expropriated homes and property of tens of thousands of Americans. No wonder he decided his pay would be $1 a year, being the president pays off even when you don't have a salary.

You could do a lot to eliminate illegal immigration (though let's not kid ourselves... these people are settlers, not immigrants) without even needing a wall.

Strip away welfare benefits for non-citizens. Refuse all but emergency medical care to them in hospitals. Refuse them education in our school systems. Make it illegal to rent and sell property, including apartments, to them. Fine employers who knowingly hire them.

Above all, arrest and immediately deport any of those damn kids wearing an "Illegal And Proud" shirt.

That said, I do kinda like the minefield idea. Makes border crossings WAY more interesting for both sides.

That's actually happened in the "Demilitarized Zone" between North and South Korea.

No, Captain,

Landmines are a "dumb" weapon system incapable of adapting to new and unanticipated situation.

There are 350,000,000 people in the USA and no shortage of able bodied and willing men to volunteer.

Let the people form private border defense militias and volunteer to actively patrol and defend the border.

In other words. Legalize vigilantism and not only will you have the most secure border on earth, it will cost NOTHING to defend the border and it will even grow the economy as the volunteers will PAY to equip and train so they can patrol.

Active Area Denial is superior to passive area denial which are the landmines you propose.

Legalize private initiatives like the Arizona Minutemen Project and you will have the most secure border in the world for FREE. No need to tax and spend.

Trump can build an unpenetrable human wall overnight, fre free, by just the stroke of a pen.

Legalize border vigilantism and insure vigilante quality control by providing training assistance and guidance.

The people want to protect their own borders and are willing to spend money and volunteer their free time.
